Service Tasks to Prepare Your Vehicle for Fall

Inspect Your Battery

Extreme temperatures can be particularly draining on a battery. After our hot summers, it’s always a good idea to inspect your battery to ensure it’s reliable. You also want to look for unusual corrosion and check to confirm every cable is secure.

Check Your Heating System

While it’s not quite heater weather yet, fall is always a good time to inspect your heater. After all, you don’t want to wait until cooler temps arrive to discover your heater doesn’t work. It’s a good idea to check that the system is clean and functioning properly.

Look at Your Lights

As you know, our clocks “fall back” in the fall. That means less daylight time and many more instances of driving in the dark. You want to ensure your headlights (and turn signals and brakes) are all working properly.

Get to the Car wash

Summer can certainly wreak havoc on a vehicle. You’ve probably found bugs in the grille, bird poop on the windows, and oh-so-much dirt and debris. It’s a good idea to give your car a good wash to help avoid corrosion. Don’t forget to clean out the cabin too. Get rid of the excess clutter and give your floors and seats a good vacuum.
