5.7L HEMI Engine

The 2025 RAM 1500 will be redesigned with new powertrains that supersede the RAM HEMI® engine. For now, however, plenty of models on the market still use this legendary engine, and our dealership has all the information you need. Since this is your last chance to get a RAM HEMI engine, contact Prestige Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM today to see what compatible models are available.

Why the RAM HEMI® Engine Is Going Away

RAM has completely redesigned the 2025 RAM 1500 with a new set of powertrains. This latest model will have three engine options: the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® engine and the two available 3.0-liter Hurricane® engines. With these powertrain options, the 2025 RAM 1500 can achieve up to 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque, with up to 11,560 lb of towing capacity.

Which Models Are Still Available?

Although the latest RAM trucks won’t feature the HEMI engine as an option, you can still find plenty of applicable models on the lot. The 2024 RAM 1500, for example, features an available 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with the eTorque® mild hybrid system installed. It can generate 395 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. You can also push it to the max with the available supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI engine, which boosts performance to 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

Commercial vehicle fleets can also take advantage of HEMI engines on the 2024 RAM Chassis Cab. Its specifically designed 6.4-liter HEMI engine delivers 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, enough power to pull 21,550 lbs behind it.
